Alpine sun is the defining factor.
Chur is a good hour south-east of us via the A3 and A13. We have no branch in Graubünden; the work is carried out in Glattbrugg near Zurich.
Graubünden places the highest demands on paint protection of any region we serve. UV exposure rises with every metre of altitude, and vehicles that regularly cross passes or reach the ski areas take on considerably more road salt in winter than in the lowlands.

UV exposure rises with every metre of altitude. Red and dark blue paints fade first on the roof and bonnet.
Salt on the passes
Pass roads and ski resort approaches are salted heavily. The underbody and wheels take the brunt.

The constant alternation between frost and direct sun accelerates every attack on unprotected paint.

When should I come from Graubünden?
Before winter, so October or November. Protection has to be on the paint before the salt season, and the necessary preparation cannot be made up for in December. A second sensible moment is spring, to get salt out of the underbody and wheel arches.
