Pure precision, refined over decades.

Professional car care pays off in more than one way: it preserves cherished vehicles and can add value to classics. Vehicle care is AVP's craft. Luxury saloons, sports cars and classic vehicles are prepared, protected and maintained in our workshop every day.

Here you will find current releases and selected stories from the archive, documenting the work and ideas that have shaped AVP.

Latest releases

Current work at AVP.

Five updates from the workshop, from modern protection systems to programmes for fleets and electric vehicles.

A new generation of ceramic protection

For long-term value retention, AVP uses the latest generation of ceramic coating technology. It provides strong protection against environmental exposure, fine scratches and ultraviolet radiation, while delivering deep gloss and pronounced water behaviour that makes routine cleaning easier.

A detailing programme for electric and hybrid vehicles

Electric vehicles have their own care requirements. AVP's programme combines careful cleaning of displays and touch controls with exterior protection that reduces dirt adhesion and complements the precise surfaces of modern electric cars.

Craft-led care for classics and exceptional vehicles

Historic vehicles and rare supercars require work beyond a standard process. AVP combines tailored polishing, micro-sanding and traditional wax systems to preserve collector vehicles and prepare them for concours presentation.

Fleet care before expensive lease returns

Interior stains, fine scratches and tired paint can lead to significant charges when lease vehicles are returned. With Drive'n'Care and fleet preparation, AVP keeps company vehicles presentable and helps reduce avoidable reconditioning costs.

Deep hygiene with ozone and thermal disinfection

An interior can look clean without being hygienically clean. Ozone treatment and thermal disinfection address persistent odours, bacteria and mould spores, including contamination in ventilation ducts, for a fresher cabin environment.

Milestones from four decades.

From waterless washing to valet parking at Zurich Airport, these stories have shaped AVP.

Car wellness measured against new-car condition

Every automated car wash creates minute marks, even in valuable paint, and they become especially visible on dark finishes. At AVP, each vehicle therefore receives care measured against new-car condition: consultation, hand washing, detailed interior cleaning, stain and scratch correction, wheel protection and hand or machine polishing.

For the highest expectations, the process can end with Teflon protection or AVP's specialist treatment, backed by a warranty of up to ten years. The concept continues today as Car Wellness.

Aerospace technology: seven paint-preservation systems

AVP has long looked to aerospace technology and worked with specialist chemists to match the treatment to the paint. Seven preservation systems have been used according to paint type and condition: Teflon, carnauba, acrylic, titanium, silicone, carbon and AVP's combined specialist treatment.

For the specialist system, each body panel is treated in repeated layers and the protection is worked into the finish using controlled heat and pressure. Today, specialist protection treatments continue this approach, with warranties of up to ten years.

Mirror finishes for classics: the Nitrocombi technique

Caring for classic vehicles demands detailed knowledge of historic paint systems. AVP is one of the few specialists experienced in the Nitrocombi technique: repeated pore-free sanding and polishing over two to three weeks to produce a highly reflective finish.

Older paint should also be washed with particular care because water and mineral residue can place unnecessary stress on the surface. AVP developed a dedicated professional washing lotion for this work. The same care continues in our classic-car polishing.

Washing without water: RUBIN ONE

AVP was the first provider to launch waterless car washing based on a formula originally developed by NASA. This became the RUBIN ONE range used in AVP care centres, including Carnaubacare for depth of gloss, Tefloncare for long-term protection and Microcare microfibre cloths.

The range continues to evolve under the name RUBIN ONE, both in the workshop and for waterless care.

AVP Professional: up to 40 specialists on site

Time is often tight before a motor show opens. For such projects, AVP can deploy up to 40 trained car-care specialists within hours. A survey of 65 Swiss dealerships gave the mobile AVP service top marks for reliability, punctuality, quality and value.

Heavily used lease vehicles can also be returned to a strong presentation standard. Today, exhibition preparation and fleet preparation continue this work.

Running your own business: franchising with AVP

AVP established several Swiss locations and a partner company in Germany early in its development, then created franchise models for care centres, mobile services for garages and RUBIN ONE regional licences.

Partners receive training, marketing support and the benefit of a name trusted by enthusiasts of high-quality vehicles. This route remains available through AVP franchising and licences.

Ready for take-off: park'n'care at Zurich Airport

With park'n'care, AVP introduced genuine valet parking at Zurich Airport. While customers travel, vehicles are kept in alarmed, video-monitored premises and can be professionally cared for before collection at the terminal or another agreed location. Formula One figures including Mika Häkkinen were among its customers.

AVP also offered RUBIN ONE Millennium, an exceptional protection system reserved for limited-production vehicles such as the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari Enzo and Koenigsegg Agera. Travellers can still combine parking and care through park'n'care.

Do not overlook winter care

Road salt improves winter safety but reaches small bodywork seams and can damage paint, particularly on sports cars, luxury vehicles and classics. Without a careful pre-wash, brushes carrying salt and grit can act like abrasive paper.

AVP therefore removes salt residue thoroughly, addresses stone-chip damage, protects the underbody and restores clear visibility. Today, this work is covered by underbody and engine cleaning.

Modular and practical: the car-care academy

Through autopfleger.ch, AVP established professional quality standards for vehicle preparation. The concept uses short, intensive, product-independent modules taught through practical individual instruction, from the core intensive course to nano protection, odour neutralisation, leather restoration and sales-focused used-car preparation.

The core course opens a path towards advanced car-care qualifications, with franchise participation available but not required. The AVP car-care academy continues this standard.

Learning from the best

“Where others stop, we are only getting started” has long described AVP's standard. Dust in ventilation grilles is treated with liquid shampoo and compressed air before being polished dry. Vehicles are moved to clean every area of the wheels, and even the lower edges of doors receive proper attention.

AVP continually develops the RUBIN ONE range for long-term value retention. This approach still defines AVP today.

Four stations in the care centre

Every process begins with a hand wash because automated systems can mark the paint. Interior care follows, addressing everything from spilled drinks and pet hair to persistent nicotine odour.

The polishing department begins with paint analysis, using compounds and processes refined over years. The final stage is the selected protection treatment. Every AVP vehicle still follows this considered path, from the first inspection to the right service.

RUBIN ONE First: surface protection for anything mobile

RUBIN ONE First is a finish-protection system for motorcycles, boats and yachts, motorhomes, aircraft and helicopters, lorries and buses. Every application begins with an analysis of the existing finish because construction and exposure differ considerably between objects.

Whether the challenge is salt and fresh water on yachts, ultraviolet exposure on aircraft or winter salt on commercial vehicles, the treatment provides durable protection and easier maintenance. RUBIN ONE continues to protect surfaces wherever they travel.
