A vehicle does not need regular polishing or ceramic coating to avoid inevitable decline. Storage, wash technique, climate, mileage and contamination have greater influence than a fixed year-by-year schedule.

Polishing is corrective, not preventive

Polishing removes a controlled amount of material to reduce suitable defects. Repeating it routinely when no correction is needed uses paint reserve without benefit.

Protection can make care easier

Wax, sealant or ceramic coating may support gloss and reduce how strongly some contamination adheres. It does not prevent most scratches or make a ten-year-old car look new by itself.

A sound maintenance plan

Wash carefully, remove bird residue and resin promptly, repair chips and inspect the finish. Add correction only where defects justify it and choose protection according to desired durability.

Good early maintenance helps future presentation, but no treatment guarantees resale value or makes later restoration impossible if it was not used from day one.
