Vandalism damage is frustrating, but the visible mark does not yet define the repair. A scratched panel, broken mirror and shattered window each need a different assessment.

Assess paint scratches by depth

Fine marks within the clear coat may respond to measured polishing. A scratch that has reached the colour coat, primer or metal cannot simply be polished away.

Local touch-in can reduce the visual contrast of some deeper marks, while a bodyshop repair may be the cleaner answer for extensive damage. AVP explains the realistic result before work begins.

Treat broken components separately

Mirrors, glazing, cameras and driver-assistance components are safety-relevant. Replacement, calibration or technical repair is planned according to the affected system rather than bundled into cosmetic paint work.

Photographs help with an initial assessment, but the final scope follows the damage visible on the vehicle.
