Restoring weathered Audi paint
From dullness to a measured correction
Audi paint can lose clarity through oxidation, contamination, wash damage and environmental exposure. Whether polishing can restore it depends on the paint system and remaining material.
Diagnose before choosing the compound
AVP cleans and decontaminates the finish, inspects repaired areas and uses a test section to establish the least aggressive effective combination of machine, pad and polish.
Not every weathered finish can be restored. Clearcoat failure, cracking, exposed basecoat or very thin material may require refinishing rather than further polishing.
Protect the corrected result
A suitable wax, sealant or ceramic coating can make maintenance easier and support gloss retention. It cannot extend paint life from a few years to decades by itself.
The same condition-led approach applies to new, used and classic Audis; the badge does not determine the correction method.
