Preparing Ferrari paint for polishing
Polish is not a substitute for washing. Dust and bonded contamination caught beneath a pad can mark any finish, including Ferrari paint.
Remove contamination in stages
AVP pre-rinses, hand washes and uses dedicated media for wheels and bodywork. Tar, fallout or resin receive separate compatible treatment before correction begins.
Repeating the same wash three times is not inherently safer. Each stage should address a defined residue while limiting unnecessary contact.
Inspect the clean finish
Once dry, repaired panels, film edges, defects and sensitive details become clear. A test section then defines the appropriate polishing process.
Regular hand washing can maintain a Ferrari well when performed carefully, but frequency follows use and storage rather than a universal weekly requirement.
