Machine polishing is efficient across suitable open panels, but it is not mandatory or appropriate on every shape.

Control matters near edges and trim

Door-handle recesses, narrow pillars, sharp contours and areas beside sensitive trim may be refined by hand or with a suitably small machine and protective masking.

Machine contact does not automatically damage every plastic. The risk depends on material, heat, pad contact and polish residue, which can stain porous trim.

Choose the method panel by panel

Rear panels and wings are not universally hand-polished; their geometry and condition determine the tool. AVP changes method where access, paint reserve or adjacent materials require greater control.

The extra time belongs to the correction plan. The aim is consistent improvement without forcing one machine and pad across the entire vehicle.
