Weathering is not one defect

Loss of gloss can come from contamination, oxidation, wash damage, previous poor polishing or clear-coat failure. Each requires a different response.

After washing and decontamination, AVP checks paint history, film build and a representative test area. A stronger compound is used only where the surface and defect justify it.

Refine after correction

Multi-stage work moves from controlled defect removal to finer refinement. The aim is to remove haze and polishing trails without taking unnecessary material from the finish.

Failed, lifting or severely thinned clear coat cannot be restored by polishing. It needs paint repair. Where correction succeeds, a compatible protection system can support maintenance but cannot stop future ageing.
