Care is a service, not only a piece of work

Vehicle care is usually judged by the result, meaning the condition of the car at handover. That falls short. Anyone working regularly with a care business soon notices that the service around it decides satisfaction just as much: whether the scope was clear beforehand, whether the appointment held, whether it is traceable what was done.

Customers therefore compare providers not only on craftsmanship but on process clarity and reliability. This article sets out what that can be measured against, and what we hold ourselves to.

Clear communication before the appointment

The most important part of a care appointment happens before the appointment. Knowing in advance what will be done, what it costs and how long the car is tied up means no surprises afterwards.

In practice that means transparent prices, a reasoned recommendation rather than a list of every possibility, and structured scheduling. It also means saying no. Where a job does not pay for a particular car, we say so on the phone instead of booking an appointment that serves nobody.

Why a recommendation beats a menu

Because the question is rarely which services exist, but which one makes sense now. A car with a thin clear coat and deep scratches needs a different answer than a two-year-old with wash marks. That assessment is part of the service, not an addition to it.

A modular structure

A complete offer creates clarity and makes the decision easier when it is ordered. We divide it into four levels.

Basic services cover the running need: hand washing, interior cleaning and polishing.

Protective services extend the result: ceramic coating, wheel protection and glass protection.

Complete packages combine several jobs in one pass, such as a full preparation or building up protection on a new car.

Additional services cover the special cases: odour neutralisation, spot repair and the consultation itself.

Which level suits which need is set out in the care packages, Smaragd to Diamant. The point of the structure is not to sell more but to simplify the decision.

Documentation as part of the service

With recurring care and with company vehicles, traceability becomes the real value. Photographic documentation of the initial condition, a care history over time and a clear handover record answer questions before they arise.

That matters particularly where several people use the same car, or where a car is returned at the end of a term. Being able to show what condition a car was taken on and handed back in means considerably less discussion at lease return.

The economic part

Professional care acts on four positions at once: fewer paint defects, slower material ageing, lower repair costs and a better assessment at return. On a single car that is noticeable; across a fleet it becomes a line in the budget.

That is why we plan care for companies as a recurring routine rather than as individual appointments. Interval, scope and handover are agreed once, and after that it runs without further queries. Where several cars are due at once, they are scheduled one after another so enough stay in service.

And if the car cannot leave?

Then we come. For self-contained work we use the CarSpa at your location or workplace. Polishing and coating need controlled light and a constant temperature, and both exist only in the hall. We state that limit beforehand, not at the appointment.

How to recognise service quality

By four points, all of which come before the actual work: the scope is clear in advance. The price is clear in advance. The duration is clear in advance. And what is not sensible gets said, not only what is possible.

If you are planning regular care for one car or several, tell us briefly how it is used and what you expect. We will suggest an interval that fits the car and say openly where a fixed concept genuinely beats individual appointments and where it does not. For garages and dealers a separate routine applies, described in garage and dealer preparation.
