Scratch treatment depends on depth, location, paint reserve and the finish around it. “Removal” sometimes means a safe reduction rather than complete disappearance.

Fine defects

After washing and decontamination, AVP uses a test section to determine whether controlled polishing can improve clearcoat-level marks.

Deeper damage

Exposed colour or substrate may need touch-up, spot repair or panel refinishing. Touch-up followed by local refinement can reduce contrast, but does not literally merge paint or guarantee invisibility.

Preventing recurrence

Ceramic coating may make maintenance easier but will not protect paint from most contact scratches. Paint protection film is the more relevant physical barrier for vulnerable areas.

AVP recommends the least invasive route that suits the damage and expected finish.
