Classic vehicles can carry fragile single-stage paint, hand-finished details, aged plastics and previous repairs whose history is unknown. An aggressive process can remove material that cannot be recreated.

Evidence before correction

AVP starts with paint identification, visual inspection and discreet testing. Thickness readings help where the substrate and instrument allow them, but they do not replace judgement at edges and repaired areas.

Peeling paint is usually evidence of adhesion or coating failure, not simply a strong polish. Even so, inappropriate abrasion can expose or worsen a fragile finish.

Choose preservation over perfection

Training and experience matter, as do clear limits. Some marks remain because retaining original material is more valuable than pursuing a flawless modern finish.

Price is one factor, not proof of quality in either direction. Ask how the vehicle will be tested, which areas will be protected and how the result will be documented.
