Polishing can restore clarity where wash marks, oxidation or haze reduce the finish. It should not be used simply to impress other people or on a fixed schedule.

Because correction is abrasive, AVP first checks the paint and tests the least aggressive process that can meet the objective.

Before resale, a clearer finish may strengthen presentation, but service history, mechanical condition and market demand remain more important than gloss.

Polishing is worthwhile when the expected visual improvement and future use justify it. AVP will also say when cleaning or local repair is the better answer.
