The historical Rubin One Drywasher was promoted as a way to clean paint without a conventional water wash. Such products combine lubrication and cleaning agents so light residue can be lifted with microfibre towels.

Use only on light contamination

A waterless wash is not the right method for heavy dust, grit, mud or salt. Wiping those particles across paint increases the risk of marring, regardless of product claims.

Use multiple clean towels, turn them frequently and work gently on a cool surface according to the product instructions. If contamination cannot be safely encapsulated, pre-rinse and wash conventionally.
