Electric cars are designed for rain and normal washing, but charging ports, automatic wipers, door handles and transport modes can require model-specific preparation.

Check the vehicle instructions

Close ports and openings, select wash mode where provided and observe pressure-washer distances and areas the manufacturer excludes.

Remove grit before contact

Pre-rinse suitable contamination, use clean wash media and separate wheel tools. More shampoo or repeated contact does not automatically reduce marking.

Match wheel products to the finish

Regenerative braking may change brake-dust levels, but wheels still collect road film. Avoid “aggressive” chemistry unless it is explicitly compatible with the finish and used as directed.

Tyre dressing stays off tread and brakes. Polishing and coating are not routine after every hand wash; they are separate condition-based services.
