“Nano” is not a performance specification

The term refers broadly to very small-scale chemistry, but it does not prove scratch removal, durability or product quality. A sealant does not correct paint defects; polishing does that by controlled abrasion before protection.

Wax, sealant and coating

All three can protect paint, with different chemistry, appearance, maintenance and expected service life. Wax is not worthless because it is less durable, and a chemically bonding coating is not immune to water, abrasion or contamination.

Preparation normally includes thorough washing and decontamination. Polishing is added only if paint condition and the desired result justify it.

Useful benefits and clear limits

A compatible treatment can increase water repellency, make routine cleaning easier and support gloss retention. Bird droppings still need prompt removal, and zips, branches and wash contact can still scratch the finish.

Glass protection is a separate system whose optical clarity and wiper behaviour must be checked. Product-specific documentation, not the word “nano”, should define durability, UV performance and maintenance.
