Tree sap, bird droppings, tar, concrete splashes and industrial fallout can all settle on paint, but their chemistry and risks differ.

Organic and alkaline contamination should be addressed quickly because heat and time can deepen staining or etching. AVP first identifies the residue and tests a compatible cleaner.

The aim is to remove contamination without scraping or grinding it into the finish. No “secret chemical” works safely on every substance, and product limits must be respected.

After cleaning, local polishing can reduce remaining haze or etching where paint depth allows. Broader refinement may be useful to blend the result, but a full-vehicle polish is not automatically required.

Industrial fallout receives chemical decontamination before careful mechanical treatment. Actual corrosion or missing paint may require body repair and colour touch-up rather than polishing.
