Remove contamination before it bakes on

Heat can make insect residue, bird droppings and tree deposits harder to remove. Soften local contamination with water or a compatible cleaner, then lift and rinse it rather than rubbing the panel dry.

Keep the windscreen clear

Use summer washer fluid compatible with the vehicle and replace damaged wiper blades. Persistent insect residue should be removed when parked, not by relying on repeated dry wiping.

Protect the interior from heat

A well-fitted windscreen shade and shaded parking can reduce direct exposure. Clean leather, plastic and seals with products approved for the material; household petroleum jelly and glossy dressings are not universal solutions.

Wash and polish out of direct sun

Cool panels give cleaners and polishing compounds predictable working time. Rinse loose pollen and dust before contact washing, and keep pressure equipment at a safe distance from damaged paint, seals and sensors.

Polish only when the inspected defects justify correction. A suitable wax, sealant or coating applied afterwards can support maintenance, but no treatment prevents every effect of summer use.
