Measure the maintenance benefit

A compatible coating may reduce the adhesion of some contamination and help routine washing. Whether it lowers chemical use or cleaning time must be established through a representative test area and the operator’s wash process.

No coating prevents passenger contact marks, scratches or every form of rail contamination. Door systems, windows, decals, sensors and safety-critical components also require separate approval.
