Pen ink can migrate quickly into fabric, coated leather and synthetic trim. Avoid rubbing, adding random solvents or flooding the seat.

Fabric seats

AVP identifies fibre and colour stability, then uses controlled spot treatment and extraction where appropriate. The aim is to lift dissolved ink without spreading it through the fabric or foam.

Leather and synthetic surfaces

Ink may sit in or beneath the protective coating. Abrading away a “thin leather layer” is not a safe default because it can remove colour and finish.

A compatible ink remover is tested first. If the coating is permanently stained, a local leather-repair and recolouring process may be more appropriate than repeated cleaning.

Fast assessment improves the chance of success, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
