At a filling station, stop safely and follow staff instructions for any spill. Once the area is safe, rinse or clean paint according to vehicle guidance without allowing hazardous runoff into drains.

Tree resin and honeydew

Do not scrape hardened deposits. Use a product approved for the finish, allow it to soften the contamination and lift it with clean media. Repeat gently rather than increasing force.

Bird droppings

Remove them as soon as practical after soaking. Heat and time can leave etching even after the contamination itself is gone.

Inspect before polishing

Cleaning may fully resolve the issue. Polishing is considered only if a correctable paint defect remains, and it cannot guarantee an “as new” result on deep etching or failed coatings.
