Choose the parking location first

Falling firework debris can mark paint, damage glazing or create a fire risk. A closed garage or suitable covered car park away from celebrations provides the clearest protection.

If the vehicle must remain outside, park as far as practical from launch areas, crowds, balconies and trees. Close windows, roof and doors completely.

Be cautious with covers

A fitted automotive cover can reduce dry deposits, but wind-driven movement may mark dirty paint and the material itself may not be fire-resistant. Follow the cover manufacturer's guidance and do not treat it as protection from burning debris.

Remove deposits without rubbing

Allow hot material to cool and keep personal safety first. Once safe, rinse loose ash and particles thoroughly before contact washing. Do not wipe dry contamination across the finish.

If residue, discolouration or impact damage remains, document it with photographs and arrange an assessment. Coating or wax cannot prevent direct firework damage.
