Smoke, animal, food and moisture odours can settle deeply into seats, carpets and insulation. A fragrance spray only masks the problem temporarily, so this course began with identifying and removing the source.

Participants learned how odour contamination develops and how to plan cleaning around the material affected. Physical residue had to be removed before any supplementary treatment could make sense.

The module also introduced controlled fogging. Very fine droplets can move through cabin air and reach narrow areas, but the simple diffusion analogy does not mean every hidden source is automatically treated or every odour can be removed.

Application time, concentration, equipment position and ventilation must follow the current product specification. Incorrect handling can damage materials or create a health risk, which is why occupational protection formed a substantial part of the theory.

After treatment, participants learned to ventilate, inspect and reassess the vehicle. If odour remained in foam, underlay or technical systems, further access or component replacement had to be discussed rather than concealed.

The one-day course concluded with a practical assessment. A former AVP network partner reported that the training allowed her to add a properly structured fogging service after previously declining severe cases she could not treat responsibly.
