Check where washing is permitted

Use an approved wash location with suitable drainage and follow local environmental rules. Remove loose grit before contact and keep wheel tools separate from paintwork.

Treat rinseless products as condition-specific

Waterless or rinseless cleaning can suit light contamination when the product instructions and towel process are followed. It is not safe for every level of dirt.

Clean glass and wipers together

Use compatible glass products and wipe the blade edges gently. Replace wipers that remain damaged or continue to smear.

Test interior materials

Displays, gloss trim, leather and plastics can mark or discolour. Apply cleaner to the towel where appropriate and test uncertain surfaces discreetly.

Avoid aggressive shortcuts

Metal brushes can damage carpet and upholstery. High-pressure washing inside a vehicle can saturate underlay and electronics. Pet hair and deep textile contamination are better addressed with controlled mechanical removal and extraction.

Stop when the material or contamination is uncertain; correction after damage is usually harder than the original cleaning task.
