Mobile car care at a shopping centre – Part 2
For the exterior services, AVP prepared biodegradable automotive shampoo and the tools required for a controlled wash. The interior station held vacuum cleaners, material-specific cleaners, leather-care products and containers for safely storing customers' belongings.
The service could begin.
The first visitors arrived as the centre opened. At the management's request, the team explained the service to interested customers without obstructing the entrance or applying pressure. Within minutes, the first interior-cleaning booking was confirmed.
The customer handed over the car near the entrance and an AVP employee moved it to the mobile area. With one hour available, the team first removed waste, then placed documents, toys, coins and personal items in a labelled container assigned to that vehicle. This simple step protected belongings and kept the cleaning process accountable.
After the initial vacuum, narrow seams and gaps were detailed to release trapped dust. As the dashboard cleaning began, a second customer booked an exterior wash, and the specialists assigned to that station moved across to the new vehicle.
The first interior showed no major contamination apart from marks on the driver's seat. These were treated with a textile-safe cleaner, brushed and dried carefully so the seat could be used at handover. The glass was cleaned as requested, followed by a final inspection. One remaining mark on the instrument display was corrected before the car was returned.
At the exterior station, the team first rinsed away loose dirt to reduce the risk of dragging particles across the paint. Several specialists then worked in separate areas with clean wash tools, using plenty of water and a clear top-to-bottom sequence.
After the final rinse, the vehicle was dried with paint-safe towels. Door and luggage-compartment shuts, wheels and mirror housings were included, leaving no trapped water or obvious residue at the handover.
The customer could also choose a simple finishing wax, but this vehicle required only the agreed wash. Because the car was lightly soiled and several specialists were available, it was completed well before the original collection time.
The team continued in rotating groups through the lunchtime peak so the service area could remain open without denying anyone a proper break. By the afternoon, every station was staffed again and ready for the next, more difficult case.
