Polishing is useful when paintwork has lost clarity, shows light wash marks or needs refinement before protection. It improves appearance by correcting or refining the surface, but it should not be sold as an automatic increase in vehicle value.

The price depends on what the paint actually needs. A one-stage gloss polish on sound paint is different from multi-stage correction of oxidation, holograms and deeper wash marks.

Vehicle size, panel complexity, contamination, previous repairs and the required finish all affect working time. Washing, decontamination, masking, inspection and final protection also form part of a proper quote.
