Helicopter surfaces face UV exposure, contamination, heat and demanding inspection requirements. Any coating is therefore an aviation-maintenance decision, not an automotive add-on.

Approval comes before application

The aircraft operator, manufacturer documentation and authorised maintenance organisation must approve the product, surface and procedure. Weight, balance, markings, windows, sensors, rotor components and heat-exposed areas cannot be treated generically.

A coating may make compatible painted surfaces easier to clean. It does not prevent scratches or impact damage and must not interfere with inspection.
