Cleaning is not automatically required for inspection

An engine bay does not need cosmetic washing before every vehicle inspection. Active oil, coolant or fuel residue should first be diagnosed and repaired rather than cleaned away.

Protect sensitive systems

Before work, identify electrical components, exposed intakes, ageing insulation, labels and high-voltage areas. Electric and hybrid vehicles require manufacturer procedures and qualified personnel.

Heavy water pressure and indiscriminate degreaser can force moisture into connectors or damage finishes. Controlled application, agitation and removal are safer.

Inspect after cleaning

Cleaning can make later leaks easier to identify and improve presentation, but it does not prevent corrosion or expensive repairs by itself.
