A new vehicle can arrive with transport residue, dealer wash marks or local refinishing. It can also arrive in excellent condition and need no polishing at all.

Inspect after a proper wash

AVP cleans and decontaminates the finish, then evaluates it under suitable lighting. A mild test section is used only where correctable defects are present.

There is no universal three-to-six-month deadline and no reason to remove clearcoat pre-emptively. Correction should be the least aggressive process that delivers the agreed improvement.

Protect without promising immunity

Wax, sealant or ceramic protection can be applied to properly prepared new paint. It can make maintenance easier but cannot prevent contact scratches, wash marks or depreciation.

The right timing is when the vehicle’s condition and intended use make protection worthwhile, not a fixed interval after purchase.
