Sauna timber is exposed to heat, moisture, skin contact and repeated cleaning. A product that works on automotive paint is not automatically suitable for this environment.

Any treatment needs explicit approval for the timber species, operating temperature, indoor emissions and direct contact with benches or walls. It must not make seating slippery, trap moisture or interfere with the wood's intended behaviour.

Claims of fixed three-to-five-year protection or universal resistance to 200°C cannot be assumed without product documentation and sauna-manufacturer approval.
