Headlights lose output through surface contamination, outer-lens degradation, internal haze or ageing reflectors. Cleaning only addresses the first of those causes.

Assess before polishing

A cloudy polycarbonate outer surface may respond to staged correction. AVP protects adjacent panels, uses progressively finer abrasives where needed and refines the lens to an even finish.

The restored surface then needs compatible UV protection. Otherwise the newly exposed polymer can deteriorate quickly.

Know when restoration is insufficient

Cracks, moisture ingress, internal damage or a poor beam pattern can require repair or replacement. Appearance alone does not prove that a lamp meets the required road-safety performance.

A test area and condition check determine whether polishing is a responsible option.
