Ceramic coatings for kitchen surfaces
Kitchen surfaces encounter fat, liquids, food residue, heat and frequent cleaning. On a suitable material, a tested coating may reduce adhesion and make routine wiping easier.
Worktops, fronts, glass, stainless steel, stone and coated panels have different requirements. Food-contact suitability, temperature resistance, cleaning chemistry and manufacturer approval must be checked for each application.
A coating does not make a kitchen self-cleaning, hygienic by itself or immune to stains and scratches. Proper cleaning remains necessary, and unsuitable products should never be used on preparation areas.
This article documents a former AVP niche service. Any current treatment would require a material test and a clearly defined scope before application.
