A motorcycle exposes painted panels, plastics, metals, exhaust parts and controls in a compact area. Protection must be specified more carefully than simply coating everything visible.

Ceramic coating and wax

Wax generally offers shorter-lived protection, while ceramic coatings can bond more durably to compatible prepared surfaces. Neither is permanent or immune to washing, abrasion, fuel, bird residue and road contamination.

Where a coating may help

Suitable painted fairings and approved metal or plastic parts may become easier to clean and retain gloss more consistently. A coating does not prevent stone chips, zips or mechanical contact from causing damage.

Exclude safety-critical and high-heat areas

Tyres, brake components, grips, controls, seats, foot-contact surfaces and unapproved hot exhaust parts must remain free of inappropriate coating. Broad −70 to 850°C claims cannot be applied to every ceramic product.

Chrome, polished aluminium, stainless steel and water-transfer finishes each need documented compatibility. Parts are removed only where access and the service procedure justify it.

Preparation and maintenance

AVP cleans, decontaminates and inspects each selected part before application and controlled curing. Subsequent care still uses suitable wash methods and products.

Three-to-five-year durability and free warranty terms depend on the named coating, exposure and written conditions. They are not universal promises for every motorcycle.

Damage or replacement parts can be assessed and re-treated separately once repairs and any required curing are complete.
