Vehicle plastics range from textured exterior trim to soft-touch interior coatings, gloss-black panels and clear display lenses. They do not share one cleaning method.

Start with the least aggressive option

AVP removes loose dust, tests discreetly and uses a compatible mild cleaner with controlled moisture. Plain water can help on light residue but is not always sufficient.

Machine polish can stain porous trim or haze a soft surface, but it does not automatically destroy every plastic layer. Masking and tool control reduce the risk.

Finish without creating glare

A suitable protectant may restore an even appearance and make future cleaning easier. Interior finishes remain dry and low-glare; exterior dressings stay off glass, tyres and controls.

Faded, chemically damaged or peeling plastics may need restoration or replacement rather than more cleaner.
