As the driving event drew to a close, AVP prepared for the evening assignment. Four customers had booked their cars in, and the vehicles were moved into the garages with two hours remaining before dinner.

A first inspection showed only normal use inside, but the exterior told a different story. Repeated braking and acceleration had left heavy brake dust on the wheels. Tyres, wheel arches and the nearby paintwork also carried rubber residue from the demands of the circuit.

To give the products enough time to work, we treated the rubber marks, wheels and persistent contamination such as insect residue first. Product choice was matched to the surface, with particular care around sensitive materials.

While the exterior treatments were working, the team divided across three vehicles and cleaned their interiors. Narrow spaces were addressed with suitable tools, plastics were left with a natural rather than greasy finish, and the windows were cleaned clearly.

By dinner, three interiors were complete. After a short break, the team returned to the cars.

The exterior treatment had now had sufficient time to soften the contamination. Rubber residue still required controlled work, especially around delicate components, but could be removed without introducing new marks. The wheels needed an initial brush treatment and rinse, followed by targeted cleaning where brake dust remained.

Finally, each vehicle was hand-washed to remove the remaining dirt safely and prepare the paint for the next stage.
