One summer, a specialist sports-car garage in central Switzerland gave AVP an unusual assignment. It had organised a private circuit event for customers and wanted to offer professional vehicle cleaning once the driving programme had finished.

The event took place on a Saturday, followed by breakfast the next morning. Early that day, a minivan left Glattbrugg carrying a three-person AVP team, polishing machines, several compounds, cleaning products, cloths and the equipment needed to respond to very different kinds of contamination.

After the journey, the team arrived at the circuit and was met by the workshop crew. AVP set up in an available garage, unloaded the equipment and spoke with arriving guests about paintwork, care and the demands the circuit would place on their cars.

Following the safety briefing, the track opened. The programme was designed for open driving rather than formal competition, although the pace and friendly rivalries still made the atmosphere unmistakably energetic.

Half an hour before the lunch break, the AVP team ate early so it could remain available while the cars cooled down.

The first small job arrived almost immediately. A piece of rubber from another car's tyre had adhered to a carbon-fibre front lip and could not be scraped away without risking damage. With the right product, sufficient dwell time and careful handling, the residue was removed safely.
