How should summer tyres be assessed?
Inspect tyres for cracks, deformation, punctures, uneven wear and correct pressure before seasonal fitting.
Size, load and speed ratings must match the vehicle approval and manufacturer guidance. Legal minimum tread and replacement advice should be checked from current Swiss sources.
Mixing models, replacing only two tyres and axle placement affect stability and should follow tyre and vehicle specialists, not a universal archive rule.
New tyres may require restrained initial driving according to the manufacturer. Run-flat use and repair also have specific limits.
AVP's technical service can include tyre assessment within the current workshop scope.
