Marine finishes face UV exposure, water, mineral deposits and biological contamination. AVP presented RubinOne First as a specialist protection concept for painted ship surfaces.

Easier maintenance, not immunity from damage

A compatible coating can reduce how strongly some contamination adheres and make subsequent cleaning easier. It may also support gloss and colour retention on suitable painted areas.

It does not make a hull immune to scratches, algae, osmosis, cracking or prolonged marine exposure. The substrate, existing coating system, waterline, cleaning chemistry and manufacturer requirements must be checked first.

Plan access and application conditions

Work on a vessel may be possible at its berth or storage location, but only where access, environmental protection and curing conditions allow a controlled application.

This article documents a historical AVP offer. Current products, approved substrates and maintenance requirements need to be confirmed before treatment.
