Restoring a steering wheel
Dark gloss on a leather steering wheel often comes from hand oils and ingrained soil. Coating wear, colour loss and damaged stitching require a different response.
Clean for a dry, even grip
AVP uses a material-compatible cleaner with controlled moisture and keeps product away from switches, seams and airbags. The finished rim should feel clean and secure, not dressed or slippery.
Repair where cleaning stops
Selected leather coating damage can be prepared and recoloured. This is not generic polishing, and substantial wear, loose material or stitching damage may require a specialist retrim.
Steering-wheel work fits naturally within a wider interior treatment, but its safety-critical grip and controls receive their own final inspection.
