Textiles and carpets: compatible protectants can reduce how quickly liquids and soil penetrate the fibres. Spills still need prompt blotting and the treatment should be tested for colour change.

Leather: cleaning, conditioning and protection depend on the finish. Modern coated leather does not absorb products like unfinished leather, and an unsuitable layer can make controls slippery.

Wheels: wheel coatings can make brake dust and road salt easier to remove. Preparation must eliminate embedded contamination, while product choice must tolerate heat.

Interior plastics: low-sheen protectants may help with cleaning and UV exposure. Steering wheels, pedals, screens and instrument lenses need products specifically approved for those surfaces.

Glass: hydrophobic treatments can support visibility in rain, but optical clarity and wiper compatibility are non-negotiable.
