Persistent moisture can cause odour, misted windows, corrosion, mould and damage to trim or electronics. Drying the visible carpet without finding the source is rarely a complete solution.

Find the cause first

Door membranes, drains, seals, heater systems, windscreen bonding and accidental spills are among the possible sources. Standing water near wiring or control modules should be assessed by an appropriate vehicle technician.

Dry under controlled conditions

Loose water is extracted, affected trim is assessed and air movement or dehumidification is used as appropriate. Materials must dry through their full depth, not only at the surface.
