An AVP ceramic coating creates a protective layer over prepared automotive paint. Products on the market differ significantly, and formulation alone does not determine the result. Paint assessment, decontamination, correction where required and controlled application are equally important.

The practical benefits include improved chemical resistance, easier maintenance and a clear, deep finish. A coating can reduce how readily water and dirt adhere to the surface and can provide useful resistance to environmental exposure.

It does not make paint scratch-proof. Contact washing, road debris and careless handling can still mark the coating or the paint beneath it. UV resistance, chemical limits and expected durability depend on the exact system and should be taken from the current technical specification.

Protected surfaces are generally easier to wash because contamination bonds less strongly. This can reduce the effort required for maintenance, provided the vehicle is still cleaned with suitable products and methods.

New vehicles can benefit from early protection, but new paint is not automatically defect-free or ready for coating. Transport residue, dealer preparation and local marks should be assessed first. Existing vehicles may need more preparation, but can still be suitable where the paint condition allows.
