How AVP car care developed
AVP has continued to develop its workshop, methods and digital presence while keeping practical vehicle care at the centre of the business.
The company grew beyond its early focus on paint protection and developed a broader range of care products and processes, including the RUBIN ONE line. Some products were offered separately, while others remained part of the internal detailing workflow.
At the workshop in Glattbrugg near Zurich, AVP works on vehicles from many manufacturers. A clean surface is the basis for every later stage, which is why exterior preparation begins with controlled washing and several clearly defined steps.
Polishing is matched to the paint rather than applied as a fixed routine. A classic car and a new vehicle can require very different compounds, pads and correction levels. The surface is therefore assessed before the specialist decides how much work is useful and how much would be unnecessary.
Paint protection remains a core part of AVP's work. The performance of a sealant or coating depends on the substrate, preparation, vehicle use and maintenance, so the system is selected only after the paint condition and intended result are clear. Interior surfaces can also be protected where the material and use make that worthwhile.
Specialist cleaning includes the treatment of tree resin, persistent odours and vehicles affected by smoke or water. These cases require careful diagnosis because not every surface or source of contamination can be treated in the same way.
AVP has also shared its practical experience through professional training. The aim is to help the next generation understand not only products and techniques, but also the judgement required to work safely on different materials.
Clients travel to Glattbrugg from across Switzerland and occasionally from abroad. What matters, however, is not distance or vehicle price but a treatment that fits the condition and produces a result the owner can understand.
