Historical AVP sustainability notes: part two
The second part of this 2019 article described replacing a larger pressure-cleaning unit with a smaller system and reducing unnecessary lighting and equipment use.
The original text estimated annual savings in kilowatt-hours and tried to illustrate them through a physics comparison. That comparison contained a unit-conversion error and is not repeated here.
Energy claims should be based on measured consumption, a defined baseline and a stated period. They should also sit alongside water, chemistry, wastewater and material use rather than being treated as a complete sustainability assessment.
This article remains an archive record of the intention and measures described at the time, not a current environmental audit or certification.
