Coatings and automatic car washes
A sealant or coating changes how water and contamination interact with paint. It can make routine cleaning easier, but it does not turn every washing process into a safe one.
Protection is not armour
Brushes, contaminated cloth and grit can still mark the coating and the paint beneath it. The risk depends on the wash equipment, its maintenance and the condition of the vehicle when it enters.
Choose a compatible wash routine
Follow the coating manufacturer's care guidance. A controlled pre-rinse and contact method remain important, while aggressive chemistry may shorten protection life or affect its water behaviour.
Polishing should not be scheduled simply because a vehicle uses automatic washes. AVP inspects the finish and corrects only the defects that justify measurable paint removal.
A coating supports maintenance; careful washing preserves both the coating and the finish.
