Cleaning programmes for public transport
Buses, trams and trains see high passenger use and limited service windows. Cleaning frequency alone does not create a consistent result without a defined standard.
Build the scope around use
Seats, glazing, hand-contact areas, floors and visible contamination need agreed frequencies and handover criteria. Periodic extraction or specialist treatment remains separate from routine cleaning.
Prove the process at the depot
A representative vehicle establishes team size, access, utilities, safety coordination and turnaround. Materials and operator requirements determine products and tools.
Protection may be tested on approved surfaces if it has a measurable maintenance benefit. It cannot be assumed to prevent dirt from adhering or to fit every public-transport material.
The older article described nationwide deployment and Rubin One as standard additions. Current location, capacity and product scope must be confirmed for each operator.
