When the three-person AVP team arrived at the airport, security correctly required the client's authorisation before granting access. The site contained valuable aircraft and every movement needed to follow the operator's procedures.

The assignment was an Enstrom F28A helicopter in a well-lit hangar. After the client briefing, the team reviewed the planned scope, access and sensitive components before starting.

Interior work came first. The cabin and cockpit were vacuumed and cleaned with material-suitable tools, seats were treated as agreed, narrow spaces were detailed and the glazing was finished carefully. LED lighting supported the final inspection.

The exterior then received a controlled hand wash. Aircraft surfaces, seals and components are not interchangeable with those of a road vehicle, so only operator-approved products and methods should be used.

Rotor blades and elevated areas required particular care. Access equipment, component limitations and responsibility for the work were defined before anyone approached them.

After drying, the approved painted surfaces were assessed for polishing. The team used staged correction only where agreed, beginning with the necessary level and refining the finish afterwards. Residue was removed before the surface was prepared for protection.

The protective system had been selected for aviation use and the operating environment. Glazing treatment was also discussed because the client wanted easier water management, but no coating replaces the aircraft's certified systems, operating limits or pilot judgement.

A final LED inspection found an area around the skids that needed further attention. It was washed, refined and protected again before the customer reviewed the completed helicopter.
