Food and drink spills can penetrate seat fabric, carpet, underlay and seams. Milk and other proteins become particularly persistent when residue remains below the visible surface.

Remove the source before treating odour

AVP identifies the affected material, removes solid residue, uses compatible cleaning chemistry and extracts moisture where appropriate. Odour treatment only follows once the source has been removed and the area has dried.

No gas or fragrance can guarantee removal if contamination remains beneath trim or in insulation.

Treat child seats separately

Child restraints must be cleaned strictly according to their manufacturer’s instructions. Harness webbing, energy-absorbing components and labels should not receive unapproved chemicals, steam or machine washing.

Permanent staining or contamination deep within inaccessible padding may require replacement rather than further wet cleaning.
