Ceramic coating for classic cars
A classic car may have original single-stage paint, old clear coat, local repairs, patina or modern refinishing. The correct protection decision begins with that history.
Correction is not a prerequisite at any cost
AVP washes and tests conservatively. Scratches are not all removed before coating if doing so would compromise thin or historically important paint.
Coating is one option, not always the best one
A compatible ceramic system may suit a restored, stable finish that will be maintained accordingly. Wax or a less permanent sealant may be preferable where reversibility, originality or future repair matters more.
No coating prevents all scratches, contamination or UV ageing. The owner should understand maintenance, cure conditions and how the treatment affects later conservation before approving it.
