Wheels have a strong visual effect, but their finish matters more to the care process than whether they sit on an SUV, classic or sports car.

Identify the surface

Chrome plating, polished aluminium, clearcoat, powder coat, anodising and bare steel need different chemistry and abrasives. A product suitable for one can stain or remove another.

AVP cleans brake residue first and tests a discreet area before mechanical refinement. “Chrome polish” is not used merely because a wheel looks reflective.

Know the repair boundary

Polishing may improve oxidation or fine marks on suitable exposed metal. Corrosion beneath coating, kerb damage, cracks and distortion require wheel repair or replacement assessment.

The former mobile-service offer is historical. AVP confirms whether wheel care can be carried out on site or needs workshop control.
