A customer came to AVP with a clear request: a large-scale matt black or red wrap. Before the vehicle had been assessed, he was convinced that a full colour change was the right direction.

After looking closely at the shape and existing finish, we recommended a more restrained approach. Carbon-effect film on the door mirrors suited the lines of the car better than covering every panel in a bold colour. The original character remained visible, while the new material created a deliberate accent.

Good wrapping advice should consider the vehicle, budget and intended use together. We discuss which areas are suitable, how the film will interact with the paint beneath it and what daily maintenance will involve. Correctly selected and installed film can also reduce exposure to light contact and environmental contamination, although it is not a substitute for careful use.

The revised plan cost the customer less and produced a result that felt coherent rather than excessive. The same honest assessment led to a later appointment for complete vehicle detailing.
